In short, the story is about a goose, who comes across a peahen and a peacock... both of whom are obsessed with outer beauty as opposed to inner beauty. The goose approaches the two and says, “Dear friends, beauty is not just about appearances. It is also about what lies within,” and the peacock responds by noting that its feathers are what makes it beautiful.

The peahen, on another note, realizes and understand the goose's words, and she sets herself on a course to develop her inner beauty. Over time, she becomes known for her good character, her compassion, and her kindness towards others. The peacock also takes note and continues to show off her beauty, all while paying attention to her character... understanding that she can be both beautiful and compassionate. The moral of the story... our appearance may garner attention, but our actions define who we are.
