• But now, she was older, and she felt her body slowing down while working every part of her farm in Indiana.
• For the first time in her life, Zorrie sometimes felt the need to take a nap during her workday, and she hated this feeling.
• Zorrie's parents both died within a short time of each other of diphtheria when Zorrie was very young.
• An elderly aunt was Zorrie's only living relative, and she reluctantly took Zorrie in. The aunt, who remains nameless, had had one badly failed marriage...
