Early Women Aviators

Have students identify and research the history of a woman aviator from the early history of aviation, other than Beryl Markham. Have the students create an attractive visual display about their pilot.

Kenyan Tribes

Learn about the various native tribes in Kenya. Have each student make a poster displaying facts and pictures about the tribe that he or she selects.

Happy Valley Set

The Happy Valley set was a group of upper class British colonists in British East Africa. Have the class learn about the Happy Valley set and some of the individuals who made up this group. Each student can select a member of this group and can dramatize a cocktail party with this group and have the characters mingle with each other. Some of the students can be party guests if there are more students than members of the Happy Valley Set.
