Essay Topic 1

"Tribulation Force: The Continuing Drama of Those Left Behind" by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins is a work of fiction written in the third person omniscient point of view. Explain why the authors chose to use a third person omniscient point of view in the story. What are the pros and cons of using a third person POV in this type of book? How might the book be different if it had been written in the first person? Is any of the Left Behind series written in first person? If the book were rewritten in a first person POV, whose POV would be the most appropriate? Explain. Choose a passage of the book and rewrite it in a first person POV.
