• Have the students discuss in pairs/triads what kind of character Stephanie is based on the information so far.

• Have the students write a paragraph describing Stephanie's friends.

• Hold a class discussion during which the students should draw conclusions as to the events which Stephanie to agree to take Mo's case.

Homework

Have the students write what they believe is the significance Stephanie talking to Mo's neighbor, particularly the neighbor who was one of her teachers who she did not like.

Challenge

Have the students draw comparisons between one of their friends and one of the characters introduced in the book.
