Dictionary Detectives

Have the students find a vocabulary word that is new for them in the novel. Then have them look up the meaning and etymology of the word. Have the students stand up in class and read what their word means and what sentence it is used in.

Have the students take 10 minutes and draw what Stillman would have looked like, as based on his description in Chapter 8 of City of Glass. Have volunteers show theirs to the class.
