Critic for a Day

In order to become a critical reader, students should learn how to examine works of literature. Students should post a critique on a website. Students should give the teacher a link to the review or print their review and bring it in for the class.

On Stage!

Students should produce their own play based on a scene in "The Makoika Sisters". Students may create a play based on actual events in the book or do an adaptation to alter the scene. Students may use costumes or props in the play.

On Screen!

Students should watch an excerpt of the movie produced based on the "The Makoika Sisters". Students should discuss the excerpt as a class.
