The details of Steve's abuse to Georgie are described in this chapter. The objective of this lesson will be to discuss this dark theme of abuse, why it occurred, and how it affected Georgie's life.

Lesson

1) Small Group Activity: Split the class into groups and assign each group one of the different forms of abuse that Georgie endured at some point in her life. Have each group write a short statement about their assigned form of abuse, and its effect on Georgie's life. Allow each group to present their information, and discuss which of these reasons they think is the most valid.
