· In “Prologue,” Hannah talks about her husband, Owen, who would tease her about losing things.

· She lost the ticket stub for the parking garage where they left their cars during dinner on their second date.

· He loved to tease her about the incident.

· In Part 1, “If You Answer the Door for Strangers,” a 12-year-old girl wearing a soccer uniform comes to Hannah’s front door.

· The girl tells Hannah that Mr. Michaels wanted her to give Hannah a note.

· She says that Mr. Michael passed her in the hall at school.

· He gave her the note and $20.

· After the girl leaves, Hannah opens the paper.

· Owen’s note only says, “Protect her” (8).
