Moving Map

Francisco moves many times throughout his life. Have the students map these moves, and write a few attributes of each of these places.

Book Award

Have the students create an award for this book that fits its content.

Pet Show

Francisco had some of his most touching moments at the hands of some animals in his life. Have the students each bring in a report and picture of an animal that has touched them in some way.

Collections

Have the students all bring in a penny that they would add to Francisco's penny collection, and give a short presentation about why Francisco would be interested in that penny.

Titles

Have the students break into groups. Have each group create a new and more fitting title for this book. Make sure they are ready to defend their choice.
