"The Art of Racing in the Rain" is a novel by American author and film producer Garth Stein, which relates a story of love and redemption for a dog. Enzo, a Lab mix, narrates the story of his life and times with Denny Swift, an aspiring race car driver. Garth Stein is the author of three novels, has also worked as a documentary filmmaker and lives in Seattle. In this lesson, students are introduced to the novel, and will research and discuss the biography and works of Garth Stein.
