Act 1, Scene 1

• Max tells Henry and Charlotte that he invited Annie to join them one the meeting of Justice for Brodie is finished.

• It becomes clear that Henry and Annie are having an affair.

• Annie suggests they tell Charlotte and Max the truth.

• The group begins to fight with each other.

Act 1, Scene 3

• Max confronts Annie with a bloody towel, saying it's Henry's.

• Annie confesses to having an affair with Henry.

• Max embraces Annie violently.
