Why Did You Do That

Have students divide into two groups. One group will represent Alatriste and the other represents Malatesta. Students should take turns making a statement about the opposing character's behavior in the novel to a member in the other group, asking for an explanation of the behavior. The behavior and its basis should be logically refuted/substantiated by a member of the other character's group. Only serious, logical reasoning is acceptable. When no appropriate reasoning is given, the other team wins.
