Ellen is a character who is supportive and intelligent. She is the one adult Jack feels like he can rely on. Write an essay detailing the ways in which Ellen is important to Jack, and how she affects any other characters and the plot. Provide specific examples from the text to support your position.

Write an essay explaining how Ricky's personality changes throughout the story. What types of things does he joke about when Jack catches him in the supermarket? How is Ricky's behavior much different after Jack reaches the facility? How does he treat Jack when they are working together? Honesty is a trait that is scarcely found in the older characters in Prey. Jack is an honest man while Julia is a dishonest woman. The same goes for Mae and Ricky.
