Objective

Vasco Borden, a fugitive-recovery specialist who specializes in high tech recoveries, is in Las Vegas following a fugitive. They are in the middle of a bio research conference. This man works for a bio research company and has run off with twelve embryos belonging to his company. The objective of this lesson is to examine this fugitive's actions and the general topic of stealing.

Why might the fugitive have stolen the embryos? Also, does his motive matter at all?

Provide resources, such as papers, books or computers, to the class and divide them into groups. Have each group research a case where something was stolen for a different reason. For example, some reasons might be profit, revenge, hunger/need, helping a friend or preventing something the person considers to be wrong by stealing something, for instance, stealing a gun to prevent...
