Dress It Up

Have students pretend that any one of the characters in the story is a super hero. Create a costume that character might design for him/herself. Students may dress up in the actual costume or illustrate the costume in a drawing.

Rhyme It

Have students write a poem about any scene in the book.

Guess Who

Have one student pretend to be any character in the book. Have members of the class ask questions that can be answered "yes" or "no." The first student to write the correct character's name on a piece of paper and hand it to you is the next to answer questions. This game encourages students to learn a great deal about the book's characters.
