Provide the class with a box of random props and have them act out scenes from the book. This will ensure that they are familiar with the significant scenes of the book.

Create a piece of art in any medium that portrays one of the basic themes of the book. Have different groups do different themes, and then have the class view all the different works.

Preconceived Notions

Before starting this book, have the students write down their thoughts about Nazi Germany, Hitler, and his leadership style. At the end of the book, have the students read over these statements and discussed how, if at all, these ideas changed.
