Brochure

Create a brochure that highlights one of the locations Adams and Carwardine visited. What does this location have to offer guests? What attractions can one expect? What is the wildlife like? What type of weather does this place offer? You can use the internet for research, as well as for pictures.

Diorama

Create a diorama of one of the locations Adams and Carwardine visited based on the descriptions found in the book. Have students present their diorama to the class, explaining why they chose that location and the significance of the place described through the project.

Scavenger Hunt

Create a scavenger hunt of at least 10 items to have classmates find. These items can include animals, instruments, or tools mentioned in the book. Students may use the internet or other reference books to find pictures of these items if the item is not readily available.
