· In 2016 in the chapter titled “January,” Keila and Oscar Alvarado are babysitting their twin granddaughters, Diana and Andrea, who are three.
· It is Sunday, January 10, and Keila, who is not quite 60, moves through the house looking for them.
· She has three daughters, Claudia, Olivia, and Patricia, who still have belongings at the house.
· When Olivia and Felix Almeida, the girls’ parents return, Keila tells them that the girls are missing.
· Olivia and Felix immediately run to the pool.
· Felix dials 911.
· They find the girls in the pool and begin to resuscitate them until the paramedics arrive.
· The twins are rushed to the hospital.
· In the waiting room, Olivia yells at her mother for being irresponsible and wonders why her father is not at the hospital...
