Objective

The objective of this lesson is to discuss Pariahs and what is revealed about the caste system. Kanthapura is divided into different quarters--Brahmin, Pariah, Potters' Weavers', and Sudra. There are rumors that Moorthy will be excommunicated for going into the Pariah quarter.
