Objective

One of the biggest themes in this story is the idea of the meaning of life. Today's objective is to discuss this very question, both in relation to the story thus far, as well as to the world today and the students' experience of the world.

Lesson

1. Have each student decide whether they believe there is actually one meaning of life. Have students raise their hands to get an assessment of the class' opinion.

2. In smaller groups, have students discuss whether they think there can actually be just one meaning of life. Why or why not?
