Craig's depression begins as an unspoken barrier between the two, but by the end of the story, both find a way to connect again on a deeper foundation. How does Aaron make an impression on Craig's depression?

When Craig first admits he is depressed, he sees a doctor who prescribes him Zoloft. Craig believes that the medication begins working instantly, even though others tell him it takes weeks. Eventually, Craig's energy and confidence dissipates, and he starts to feel his old feelings of depression. How does this process take place in the novel?
