Create Your Own Story without a Timeline

While most people can tell you what they did in the past few days by retelling the events one after another, challenge students to think about their lives in terms of events, not dates or times. Have each student write a paragraph about the past twenty-four hours, but they're not allowed to put the events in order. Have the student submit a timeline too for comparison.
