Kurtz spurns the conventions of his society in a variety of ways. How is he a subversive character? Discuss his relationship with the native African woman as well as his hopes and dreams for the future.

Marlow ends the novel with a lie. If the novel were to continue, what would the next chapter look like? Use the ending as the basis for your fictionalized version.
