· The launch vehicle, the Eagle-19 Heavy, is described, and attendees comment.

· Chapter 2 begins with the flight crew approaching their spacecraft and being lauded by ground and control crews.

· Gwendy is described as she approaches the spacecraft.

· One of the others on the flight crew confers with Gwendy about her possible reluctance, and she sets his concerns aside.

· Gwendy mulls over her crewmate’s identity, bringing it to mind with some difficulty amid a bit of gossip.

· Gwendy works to calm herself, rehearsing her purpose on the space mission, but she continues to fret about it...
