Chapter Titles

Have the students create titles and illustrations for each of the chapter titles in this book.

Movie Time

Show some, or all, of the film version of this book in class. You can include candy boxes and popcorn for affect. Discuss with the class which parts fit their idea of the narrative while reading it.

Character Collages

Have the students create a collage of their favorite character. Allow each student to present their collage, and discuss the differences in choices for the characters.

Gentleman Curriculum

Pip goes to school not to learn a profession, but to become a gentleman. Have the students create a curriculum (or syllabus) for a school centered around teaching someone to become a gentleman.

Revenge

Have the students choose one of the characters who is seeking revenge for something in the book. Have the students create and illustrate a plan for that...
