Art project

Using any medium, create a piece of art that represents one of the central themes of the novel.

Newscast

Using the events from The God of Small Things, write a script for a newscast. The tone can be serious or humorous, but it should accurately describe events from the novel. It can include reporters on the scene, sports, and weather. Do the newscast in front of the class.

Movie poster

Make a poster advertising The God of Small Things as a movie. Use symbols, concepts and themes from the novel on your poster. Who would star in the movie? What would it be rated?

Playlist

Make a playlist of 8-12 songs for Rahel, Estha, or Ammu. Choose songs that would accurately portray his/her feelings and the events of the novel.
