Essay Topic 1

Evaluate the ending of Ghost. Does it ring true to you? Does it successfully resolve the problems and tensions that preceded it? What would you change, if anything? What are you left wishing for closure on, if anything? Does it make you want to read the sequel?

Essay Topic 2

Ghost and Brandon Simmons start off as enemies, but their relationship undergoes something more complicated than that, when Ghost tells his friends to go easy on Brandon. What are the factors that lead to this change? What are the different directions this relationship could take in upcoming chapters? Using examples from the text, make a case for each of the options, and make a prediction about which direction the author will take this relationship in subsequent books in the series.
