Essay Topic 1
On the day of Idgie's murder trial, many of the people she has known over the course of her life come together to testify. First, describe the alibi presented for Idgie's whereabouts during the murder and give examples of at least two unexpected witnesses for this alibi. Then, explain how Idgie's trial shows the small town mentality of Whistle Stop and the town's moral values.
