Stock or Commodity Market Visit

If you are in a town where there is a stock or commodity market, arrange for a field trip for the students. This is a good way to see the price system in action.

Museum Visits

Many museums have exhibits on the Great Depression. If there is one in your area, arrange for a visit by the students.

Debate

Divide the students into two groups, one in favor of welfare programs and big government, and the other opposed. Have them debate the issue of big government and welfare spending.
