Modern Adaptations

There are several modern adaptations of all of the plays in Euripides V. Assign students to find one and analyze an excerpt of it comparing it to the original to present to the class.

News Clipping

Ask students to look in their local newspaper for an article that involves some aspect of the plays and bring it to class. They will present it in front of the class and explain why it relates to the play.

Draw a Character

Have students draw their interpretation of a character from the play. Artistic ability is not important, but their drawings must reflect the type of costume worn by the character, whether the character is fat or thin, bald, prim or slovenly. What colors do the characters wear?
