Alternate Ending

Have the students write an alternate ending showing what would have happened had Enna not been cured.

Element Powers

Have the students choose which of the elements they would want to speak and why. They can present this in any way they choose.

Movie Time

Find a filmed version of this book and watch segments of it with the class. Discuss with the class what could have been done differently to make the play more realistic and better done.

Vellum

Have the students use the description in the book to help them create a replica of the vellum that taught both Leifer and Enna to fire speak.

Dioramas

Split the class into groups and assign each group a different setting from the book. Have each group create a diorama of this setting along with a description of how this setting affected the plot of the book...
