Essay Topic 1

Discuss Tika's reputation at the bar, and what is insinuated by the way the characters see her? What is the truth behind the rumors? How was it likely that she gained such a reputation, and how might she clear it up?

Essay Topic 2

Observe the appearance of numerous fantastic creatures. Would this story be a believable adventure without the fantastic elements? Can the same be said of any fantasy novel? Why or why not?

Essay Topic 3

In Book one, chapter seven, what was interesting to note about the Kender's regard of the Clerics? Why did this give Caramon and Tanis pause for thought? How was the Kender's caution warranted?
