What's the Title Mean?

A Different Letter to Steve

In Chapter 4 of Don't Look Behind You, April writes a letter to Steve that he never receives. Imagine Steve did receive the letter. Write a paragraph explaining what might have happened that changed the story plot.

The Name Game

As a class, brainstorm on the use of the name "April" for the narrator of the book. Do you think there was any significance in the author using that name (e.g. April is a changing time of year, a time of new beginnngs, etc.). Discuss how names can be associated with different characteristics. List some examples of "friendly" names, etc.
