Objective: Ursula Le Guin is a famous science fiction and fantasy writer. The aim of this lesson is to introduce Le Guin as a writer

1) Brainstorm with the students what they already know about Ursula Le Guin. Divide the students into threes and fours and ask them to research Le Guin's past work. What are her political views? What are her main themes? What is her writing style? The students should gather enough information for a five minute presentation
2) Divide the students into threes or fours and ask them to research Le Guin's early life and write a short play. Finish the lesson by looking at what they have come up with.
3)For homework, read one of Le Guin's short stories.
4) For homework, write Le Guin's biography.
