Ana and Dev regularly meet to dive, feed, and play with Socrates the dolphin. In Chapter One, Socrates' behavior is odd. He quickly eats the squid they offer him. He gives Ana a look as if to say, "Let's go!" Rather than playing with them, Socrates hurries off.
