"Dagon"
Dagon and Other Macabre Tales is a collection of short stories by American horror, fantasy, and science fiction author H.P. Lovecraft, known for the sub-genre of "weird fiction." Lovecraft's guiding literary principle of "cosmicism" or "cosmic horror", the idea that life is incomprehensible to human minds and that the universe is fundamentally alien, is a thematic through line which connects each of the stories. In this lesson, students are introduced to the book and author of Dagon and Other Macabre Tales.
