Rebecca often dreams of a fairytale ending. She frequently loses contact with reality, in favor of experiencing some imagined fantasy. By the end of Confessions of a Shopaholic, she has everything she could ever want. Write an essay that explores Rebecca's happy ending. Is her happiness likely to last? Does her relationship with Luke have a strong foundation? Will it endure the trials and tribulations to come? Is Rebecca likely to continue to have a successful career in finance? Why or why not? Essay Topic 3

Class, status, and wealth affect many of the characters in Confessions of a Shopaholic. Suze never has to work due to her family inheritance. Meanwhile, Rebecca works everyday so that she can support herself and her shopping habits. Write an essay that explores the themes of class, status, and wealth within the context of the story.
