The introduction said, "It was George Muller's greatest hope that his record of God's faithfulness to him would encourage believers to develop faith like his own." In this lesson, the student will learn the characteristics of an autobiographical form of book.

Lesson

1) In-class writing - Find and write three definitions of the term autobiography from three difference sources. What do all three definitions have in common? Are there any differences in the definitions? If so, what are they? Do you think any of those differences will apply to our text? Why or why not?

2) Partner activity - With a partner, use the library to find at least four other autobiographies and read the introductions to all four. Compare and contrast the introductions all five books. Compare and contrast the chapter titles for all five books. What conclusions can you draw about autobiographies from your comparisons...
