Lesson 1 (from Part I (Chapters 1 - 10))

Objective

The objective of this lesson is for students to compare and contrast the characters Victor and Bobby from Alex's point of view. Victor, Alex's father, was emotionally and physically abusive during her childhood. Bobby, Alex's ex-husband, was a serial liar and was unfaithful to Alex during their marriage. Alex also felt some moments of love and affection from each man, but each man also manipulated and mistreated her in his own way.
