Motivations

The characters in this novel have their own goals and motivations. Students will select four characters and write their main motivations throughout the book and how the goals affected other characters around them.

Titles

Students will break into groups. Each group will create a new title for this book. Groups must be able to defend their choice.

Art in Multiple Mediums

Create a piece of art in any medium that portrays one of the basic themes of the book. The class can be split into groups, each with a different theme. Allow the class time to view their classmates' pieces.

Dark Room Experience

Students will go to the photography lab on campus and learn about a dark room and how it works. Students will then discuss what this taught them about Meg and her love for photography.
