Timothy James McVeigh is convicted on murder, conspiracy to commit murder, use of weapons of mass destruction, and conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction charges in connection with the Murrah Federal Building bombing in Oklahoma City. On 14 August 1997 he is sentenced to death by lethal injection.
