Preserver of Ancient Texts. Nabu-zuqup-kena was an Assyrian scribe from Kalhu. In his time, all kinds of tablets, including those of the astronomical omen series Enuma Anu Enlil, were collected from all over Mesopotamia and brought to the various Assyrian capital cities to be copied for their libraries. Nabu-zuqup-kena was a copyist of Babylonian texts during the reigns of Sargon II (721-705 B.C.E.) and Sennacherib (704-681 B.C.E.).
