Murder Conviction.

On 6 September 1973 Boyle was charged with first-degree murder for ordering the murder of Yablonski and his family. On 11 April 1974 he was found guilty and in September 1975 was sentenced to three consecutive life sentences. On 28 January 1977 the Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturned the conviction because of judicial error in the trial. Boyle was retried and convicted once again of murder in the Yablonski case. On 11 October 1979 he was sentenced to life in prison. Boyle died on 31 May 1985.
