After the success of The Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgment Day had the funds to create amazing special effects. Using computer technology and special costumes, both the Terminator and the T-1000 look completely realistic. When the T-1000 becomes a machine rather than taking the disguise of a person, the effects are especially impressive. The Terminator seems less impressive with the invention of the T-1000, but both seem fairly realistic.

Few scenes of the future are shown in Terminator 2: Judgment Day, but those that are included are impressive. We see spots from the past that are now completely destroyed and turned into piles of rubble. Additionally, the machines and research tools being used at CyberNet were very high tech for the time in which the movie was filmed.
