Slavery was often an issue of debate in the election of 1860. Any sane person soon would come to realize that slavery was a ridiculous, unfair, and cruel selfish act. Committing to slavery would be as if you were signing your soul away to the devil himself. Slavery is wrong and unrighteous to mankind.
