In A Legacy of Spies by John Le Carré, Peter Guillam is forced to relive Windfall, the operation that still gives him nightmares even after retiring from the British secret service. Decades after the operation, which resulted in a fellow spy and innocent girl being killed, a lawsuit has been filed alleging that the service acted in a manner that was negligent.
