West Middle School

West Middle School is Charlotte’s school in Pennsylvania. There are two main locations visited in the school; Charlotte’s science class and the lawn outside. In the science class, Charlotte is studying starfish with plans to dissect them. This causes some issues when she has to confront her father’s heart attack and surgery. The lawn is where Charlotte and the other students have lunch. By the end of the novel, she sits up on the roof with Magda. There is also a single scene in the library where Charlotte learns how Bridget truly feels about her.
