Ender's Children Summary

Ela successfully tests the recolada virus she brought back with her from outspace. Ender announces that the pequeninos have indicated their willingness to accept it and see the real descolada destroyed. Peter scoffs at the piggies for accepting the virus instead of using the threat of the descolada to get what they want. Ender is puzzled by the problem of what to do with his "children"—Val and Peter. He feels guilty for thinking about killing Peter and he is embarrassed by Val's presence since she is visual evidence of exactly how he feels about his sister. They are difficult to be around: since they were born knowing everything he knows, he has no secrets from them and Peter torments him constantly with his intricate knowledge of Ender's thoughts.
