Life and Death Summary

Valentine pays a visit to Olhado. He confides to her that Andrew was a tremendous role model in his life, so much so that he has become the man he is because of Ender's influence. He manages a brick factory, which, incidentally, is booming now that all the humans on Lusitania are ripping holes in their walls and building a church to mark their penance for the pequenino slaughter. However, Olhado really lives for his wife and their many children. His wife too is like him, living mostly for their domestic existence. Valentine observes she is a remarkable woman to be still so beautiful after so many children and also to have seen past Olhado's mechanical eyes.
